Peanut Butter Galore

Our first stop--Peanut Butter & Co.

Yipee!  Ever since their branch in MOA opened this year, I have been curious of the place and thought it was worth the try. Rae, her boyfriend, and I went there last Thursday for dinner.

Table Tops

PB&Co.’s concept is very unique.  Except for coffee and soda, every food they offer has peanut butter in it. This will make you very curious about how everything tastes like. The menu is fun and very creative. The place is small and neat.

Menu was a little limited but all were interesting.

We ordered: PB hot choco (P65), BBQ wings (P165), and curry chicken spaghetti (P185).

Three cups of steamingPB hot choco. Yummy!

I should say we were blown away by the peanut butter hot choco. When we removed the cover, the nutty scent roused us. I'm not a big fan of hot choco but I liked this one since it’s not too sweet and not too creamy.

Three pieces chicken wings, cut in half, with chili PB on top.

Nothing really extraordinary with the BBQ wings. Surprisingly though, the peanut butter taste did a good job blending in with the spicy bbq flavor.

Curry Chicken Pasta. Taste’s better than it looks in the picture.

The Curry Chicken Pasta was the most interesting.  Curry pasta sause is something for all of us. Peanut butter was drizzled on top but the curry taste was overpowering. The sauce is quite rich and the taste is enjoyable.

I wished we ordered something to neutralize all the PB we ate. But all in all, I could say our dining experience has been satisfactory.

I googled PB Co. and I found out that their menu is created using each of their 12 peanut butter flavours - creamy, crunchy, curry, dark chocolate, green tea, chili, cinnamon, white chocolate, sun-dried tomato, butter cardamom, and sesame. They make their own peanut butter and it is all natural. They also sell their gourmet peanut butters jars in their restaurants.

Check this out! They sell cherry-flavored and caffeine-free coke.

The first step is always the hardest

Its pay day! Yey! So here we are planning for our first food trip. We never imagined choosing a place to eat will be this difficult! Not because we are picky eaters but because there are so many options and we wanted to try out everything! Haha.

When Rae and I decided to do this food trip thing, I don't know how but it seems we silently agreed to go first to a burger shop. But even if we already know the specific food 'category', it didn't make our planning easier. I almost suggested that we write everything in pieces of paper, make a draw box, and just randomly pick out a paper from the box. I never had the chance to tell Rae this. I still think its a brilliant idea though. Oh well, maybe on our second...?

Yeah maybe we were over-excited. So when both of us calmed down a little, we realized that choosing one does not mean we're not trying out the others. We reminded ourselves that this will be a regular thing. That there will always be a pay day for each and every restaurant we can think of. After a week, we have finally FINALLY decided on our first to-go-to eating place. So..

BURGER AVENUE PEANUT BUTTER & Co. (change of plans), here we come!!! This is gonna be great! :)

Now when will this be? That's a very nice question...

Trip naming magfood trip

Wanting to have something to look forward to, my good friend Rae and I decided to go out every pay day. The rule is simple: we will try out and eat at a place new for the both of us. Our list will be from recommendations of friends or from the web. We also agreed that we will research first the menu and decide which food we probably would enjoy the most. Since our budget is not that big, we want to make sure that  we make the best out of our money. I understand that for some, this idea may not be something new. But for us, the prospect made us so excited and look forward to the coming pay day in an instant.

Rae, being a blogger herself, suggested that I blog our experiences. I am not really a blogger, this is the first time I'm creating one. I actually prefer taking pictures than writing. I might end up posting pictures much more than the actual words or comments I write. But then again, I wondered if this can still be called a blog if I do that. I asked Rae and she said its okay. So I decided to give it a shot and see.

I think giving positive or negative comments on the food or places that we've tried will be inevitable. But we are not food critiques, and we don't plan on doing that. We love to eat and our taste buds are very easy to please. We are no expert in giving ratings or reviews. We may end up recommending certain places to friends, but this will be purely based on our personal preferences. I created this blog so we can write down everything that we will experience as we go out during our pay day splurge.
